Brand Strategy – Visual Elements – Web Design – User Experience

A website is not only a critical aspect of every business but it needed by bloggers, government information sites and just about anyone wanting to get their message out to the world. We go to websites everyday to shop, research and to be entertained. If you have a business, you need a website. But, if you have a website, does it invite people to want to stay and look around?

Your competitors have web designs that all look the same, impersonal and not focused. Many of those sites are done by companies that sell you a cheap price for you to “easily” create your own site in “minutes”. Most of those sites look like they were put together by people who spent minutes to put a site together to have a presence but they lack an inviting experience. How many times have you stopped searching on a site because it was to difficult to navigate or lacked any visual appeal? Your site should have the elements to not only attract new clients but have also to retain your current clients.

Selling your products online requires your site to have eCommerce. To be able to have eCommerce, you need additional pages to showcase the product, shipping and return policy pages and links to collect payments. eCommerce is not offered in a basic package and the additional costs are based on how many products you want to offer online and and the number of variations. (eg: T-Shirts that are offered in various colors and sizes.)

There are tons of companies that have “free” web builders for you to use and you can build your own website. The problem is that YOU have to build your own site! Time is money. Wouldn’t your time be better spent making money rather making a website? Website downtime affects how users view the overall quality of your business.

OTHER COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH WEBSITES

To entice new customers to sign up for their services many web hosting companies offer very attractive introductory prices. Renewal pricing more than doubles once the initial contract is over. Beyond that, you will need to examine what hosting services provides the features you want and stays within your budget. Once that introductory rate expires, however, OTHER costs may pop up that were also included in the initial price. (Forbes ADVISOR)

  1. Domain Name: A domain name is a web address, such as yoursite.com. While many of the top web hosting plans include a free domain they must be renewed annually. You can buy a domain name for around $12 to 15 per year.
  2. Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Certificate: The SSL certificate is a security feature that helps prevent unauthorized individuals from accessing sensitive data. As with domain names, many hosting plans include it for free while others provide it for an additional cost anywhere from $10 to $200 per year. Without a SSL, many browsers may WARN people that your site may be exposing to potential problems. Always make sure you get a site with a SSL.
  3. Premium Theme and/or Template: Themes and templates allow users to customize their websites. While most hosting plans do provide at least a handful of free customizable templates, some users end up purchasing more advanced templates for even more customization in website design. Premium WordPress themes for example can cost anywhere between $20 to $200-plus. We use several WP themes and templates proven safe.
  4. Premium Plugins: Plugins add features or extend the functions of an existing application to further customize your website. Basic plugins are generally free while premium plugins generally cost between $5 to $50 or more depending on the plugin.
  5. Marketing Tools and Integrations: Like plugins, marketing tools and integration can further customize your website to help expand your website’s reach and convert visitors into customers. Marketing tools vary greatly in price and can be a one-time purchase or a monthly subscription.
  6. eCommerce: On average eCommerce website design & development prices can range from $2,500 to well over $10,000 or more. The website cost will ultimately be driven by the complexity of the project, the platform you select
