The Fires devastated most of the area but the new growth was everywhere. One of California’s original mountain resort hotels, the Victorian-era Wawona Hotel was originally established in 1856. Accommodations consist of 50 standard hotel rooms with private bath and 54 standard hotel rooms with shared restrooms as well as an on-site dining room serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
